ASTUS: Department student association

Astus (Student association of the department of Telecommunications, Uses & Services) works to energise department life, promote TC in external events and create an activity centre for students.

Over the years, Astus has set up a number of actions, including activities (orientation weekend, canoeing weekend, evening events, etc.) and also actions to boost relations with companies (organising sponsorship for each year group, organising conferences hosted by telecom professionals, organising forums and meetings between students and companies).

Astus is very active and its members include all students from the departments, i.e. three year groups of 75 students from all over the world (in 4th year, half of the year group participates in an academic exchange abroad).
Astus boasts a number of motivates members ready to pitch in to improve department life and activities and to create strong company-student relationships. It is certainly very important to remember the profession that the students are striving to integrate, and especially the economic players who embody it.

• Committee: comprises a president, vice president, general secretary and treasurer.. It handles all coordination and delegates tasks to the other teams.
• Communication team: promotes externally all events organised by the association.
• Events team: responsible for organising orientation weekend, canoeing weekend, evening events, the telecommunications party, final year trip, etc.
• Business team: organises the sponsorship gala, meetings with TC partners and mock interviews. It also works with the department to find sustainable partnerships.
